If you have read everything that I have written, and are still reading... you have my admiration and my respect. Congratulations are in order.

I have laid out a lot of material that has undoubtedly upset you in one way, or another. I talked about war and complete disaster. I've described events that will bring suffering and death to billions. I've revealed some of the lies that corrupt our churches.

All of that probably looms large in your mind, which I completely understand. It certainly has captured a lot of MY attention. But, all of this is just a small part of a bigger picture.

Every Easter we celebrate victory in a war that has been fought in the hearts of men and women for 2000 years. It was won - as it began - by a poor, landless peasant who was truly God, while truly man.

While He lived, He spoke peace to those who wanted war. He fixed the broken and broke those who thought they were whole. He showed the poverty of the rich and showered true riches upon those who were poor.

He then went to the cross and died for those who hated Him. And, we were the ones who put Him there. But, even though the war was won on the cross, the battle is still being fought …but it’s almost over.

The fact that we are so close to the end of this war should give us heart as we see the final battle approach. I don't know how much time is left before the seals are opened and the four horsemen ride, (Revelation 6), but I hear the beat of their hooves. So, the end will probably come far sooner than we would like. But, there is much to be done before that end arrives, and we must be about our Father’s business.

Your Part To Play

We have a job to do, and that means preparing for difficult times. Survival is nothing more than trying to serve God for as long as we can.

Are you serving God?

If you don’t know, open your Bible and read it. And, while you’re doing that, ask God for direction. Seek to clear out the sins in your life, and turn away from that which feeds those sins. Give to those in need.

If you’ve done all that, and still don’t know what to do… wait. Keep listening for God’s direction and try to help as many people as you can to be ready for what’s coming.

As you do that, let me show you the difference between the followers of Lucifer, and the followers of Christ.

Wolves and Christians

As I was sitting in church, on a recent Easter Sunday, contemplating a great battle that was won almost two thousand years ago, I was struck yet again by the character of God and His followers – as opposed to Satan and his followers. The Great High King of the Universe became a landless peasant, washed our feet, took upon Himself our sins - and then died a sinner’s deathfor His enemies.

When I sat there and thought about that, I was impressed by the difference between ourselves and those who follow Lucifer. We seek humility. They seek pride. We worship the God of Peace. They worship the god of war. We are called to love and die for our enemies. They are called to hate them.

God calls us sheep.

They are wolves.

Chinese Christian Example

Just ten days after that Easter Sunday, I wrote about the number of Christians in China – that there were probably more true Christians in China than there were in America. With all that China has done to stamp out Christianity – and is still doing…

…how is it possible for there to be 100 million Christians in China?

I can guarantee – with complete certainty – that the number of real Christians in America is nowhere near 100 million. Not that long ago someone remarked to me that the average American Christian of today is less moral and less honest than the average non-Christian, just 60 years ago.

So, how did the Chinese Christians thrive so dramatically?

They surrendered their lives to God, in the midst of suffering and injustice. And, without firing a shot, they won a revolution. And, I find it ironic that Chinese pastors consider America to be in greater need of missionaries than their own country.

If you need a living and breathing example of how to defeat Satan, THAT is quite an example. Our Chinese brothers and sisters were powerful in weakness. They had victory because they surrendered to God.

Biblical Warfare

Here is what the Bible says about the war that we fight today:

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 6:12

This one also sticks in my mind:

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6

If you think that we fight with physical weapons, you are sorely misguided – because this is a spiritual battle that can only be won by spiritual means...

…but, that requires you to obey God.

Paul is saying here that God is ready to avenge us – but, not before we are obedient to Him.

Are you ready to obey God?

God will NOT fight your battles unless you have chosen obedience - and submission to God - first.

If My People…

If you want to win the battle that stands before us… If you want victory on the battlefield… If you want freedom…

…then this is what must happen:

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If you call yourself a Christian, you have literally been named with the name of Christ. You are called by His name. Therefore, you must:

  • Humble yourself
  • Pray and seek the face of God
  • Turn from your wicked ways
  • Ask God to forgive you

He WILL forgive you, and He will lead the armies of heaven against our enemies – who are also His enemies. But… when you can ...spare a thought of mercy for those enemies.

Mercy For Our Enemies

We were the enemies of God when He came to Earth, but He died for us, anyway. We WANT the enemies of liberty and justice to join us. We want sinners to betray their god, and join with us, their enemy.

And yes, it DOES happen.

But, do you think that they’ll do that if we offer them a poisoned cup of ‘vengeance’?

Overcome Evil With Goodness

Far too many of us have given Christ a bad name by ‘fighting fire with fire’ – when we should have followed Paul’s advice:

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

- Romans 12:19

We all deserve vengeance, and we American Christians deserve it more than most, because of our rebellion against God. We have become like anyone else, and have forgotten the true power of God.

Did You Really Hear The Message Of Easter?

I hope that you go to a good church on Easter and hear a true message. God came and humbled Himself and became our servant. He washed our feet and loved us even while we hated Him.

And do not fool yourself. You hated Christ before you became His follower. We all hated Him. We were His enemies. Yet, He died for His enemies.

Are you ready to die for your enemy?

We were His enemy, but Christ died for us, anyway. And, in so doing, laid upon us the challenge to be like Himself:

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

Luke 9:23-24

We are in the midst of a great war, but we are also near the end of it. And, it will end with victory. Unfortunately, you will not be a part of that victory, if you haven’t laid your life down for the sake of Christ – if you haven’t followed His example on the cross.

The Choice

A huge choice lies before you. For a long time, people thought that they could muddle through by following a ‘middle path’, but the time where you could do that is over. The sides are forming up.

I know which side the Chinese Christians are on. I’m there too. We’re the sheep, and we know that very few of us are going to die of old age.

I know which side has the power, the pride and the anger. I know the sound of their growl and the feel of their bite. They’re willing to kill and looking forward to the chance.

However, there are those who have tried to stand in the middle. They’ve enjoyed the spectacle of the growl and the bite, but they hear the call of The Shepherd.

If you’re that person, the time has come to choose, and there are only two choices:

Pride, Vengeance and Power

- or -

Humility, Mercy and Sacrifice

You can’t have both.

Choose Well.

A Final Benedication

For those who have chosen well...

May the Yehovah bless you and protect you.

May the face of Yehovah shine upon you, and be gracious to you.

May Yehovah lift up His face to you, and give you peace.

- Numbers 6:24-26
